That is not a failure. It is the beginning of learning, and you don't have to do it alone or in the dark. Educate is where Mama Dragons turns love into understanding: courses, conversations, stories, and expert voices, all in one place.

Here is how we think change happens.

A parent learns what LGBTQ+ identities and mental health actually involve, from experts and from people who live it.

Fear gives way to understanding, and understanding gives them the words for hard conversations.

Home becomes a place where a child is known, believed, and affirmed.

Those conversations travel: to the school office, the pew, the doctor's exam room, the family dinner table.

A community that understands is a community where more kids are welcomed, and more families don't have to start from zero.​

The goal isn't to make anyone an expert. It is to make our kids safer and more known.
Learn at Your Own Pace With Empowered Parent Learning
Questions don't keep business hours, so our classes don't either.
​
Empowered Parent Learning is a growing library of more than 50 classes, built with advocacy organizations across the country. It teaches parents of LGBTQ+ children, and the allies who love them, how to have courageous conversations in the places where decisions about LGBTQ+ families get made. Suicide prevention training (QPR) is built into the curriculum, because knowing what to say and what to do can matter more than anything else we teach.

It is free to members of our private network, and open to everyone else for a small one-time fee.
See Your Neighbors Through Here We Are
A Ground Media study found that roughly 71% of people don't think they have ever met a transgender person. In reality, many of them have. Not knowing each other makes it easier for fear and misinformation to fill the space.
Here We Are is our national awareness campaign, and it closes that distance by showing trans people simply living their lives. Not as a debate. Not as a headline. As people. When we see each other, understanding tends to follow.
Listen In on In the Den With Mama Dragons
Some of the best learning happens when someone else says out loud what you haven't been able to.

In the Den brings together parents, experts, and advocates to share real-life experiences of raising and supporting LGBTQ+ children. You'll find insight, encouragement, and practical guidance you can use today, whether you're on a commute, folding laundry, or sitting in a parked car trying to catch your breath.
​
The work has been recognized, too. In the Den has won five Signal Awards, and our wider work has earned two Anthem Awards. But the honor we care about most is the message that arrives after an episode: I needed to hear that.

Families learn in more places than a classroom. They learn at community events, in partner organizations, and in the conversations that start there.

We work with organizations nationwide through partnerships, events, and community outreach to connect parents with trusted resources and bring affirming support into the communities where families already live.
Invite Your Whole Circle
Educate is for anyone who wants to understand more or show up better: dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers, clergy, friends, and neighbors. You don't need to be in our private network to learn with us.

If what you need is peer support, groups, or a place to talk with other mothers, that lives in our private Support network, which is for mothers and those in the mothering role.
