Empowered Parent Learning is Mama Dragons’ library for parents of LGBTQ+ children. A growing library of over 40 courses and webinars from Mama Dragons and from our national partner organizations and leaders across the LGBTQ+ community. Topics span LGBTQ+ 101, Gender and Identity, Faith, Identity, and Belonging, Self-Care, and Rights, Laws, and Protections, and much much more.

Most parents don’t arrive knowing how to talk about identity, mental health, or what their kid actually needs from them. They learn it, usually in a hurry, usually a little scared. Empowered Parent Learning is where that learning happens on purpose, instead of by accident at 11pm during a crisis.
Family acceptance cuts an LGBTQ+ young person’s risk of a suicide attempt by more than half. That’s not a slogan, it’s the reason every course here exists.
