Every class, every group, every Pride booth began with someone who believed in the work early. Behind much of what Mama Dragons does are foundations, family trusts, and individual donors who looked at a young organization and decided to invest.

Grants and major gifts are absolutely critical to our work. They are also how we come into relationship with the people and institutions who care about LGBTQ+ families, and those relationships matter as much as the dollars. We don't want only a check. We want a partner.

Partner With Your Foundation or Family Trust
We welcome conversations with private foundations, community foundations, and family trusts about program grants, general operating support, and multi-year partnerships. Our work reaches across many of the priorities foundations care about. If your foundation focuses on any of these areas, we'd like to hear what you're hoping to see:

Mental and physical health: Suicide prevention training is built into our classes, and our network helps parents find the support their children's well-being depends on.

Family support: Peer support from people who have been there, in a private, vetted network of groups for many kinds of families.

Civic engagement and advocacy training: Advocacy classes in Empowered Parent Learning, and a Legislative Tracker that helps families follow the bills that affect them.

Voter engagement: Nonpartisan get-out-the-vote work that helps families take part in elections, without endorsing candidates or parties.

Education: Empowered Parent Learning, a growing library of classes for parents and allies.

Bridge building: Helping families and communities with different beliefs and experiences keep talking and find common ground.
