Mama Dragons helps parents transform love for their children into meaningful action. Through advocacy training, community outreach, and in-person gatherings across the country, we empower mothers to stand together, speak up, and create a world where LGBTQ+ children can thrive.
PROGRAMS
Empowered parent learning
When your child comes out, a hundred questions arrive at once. What do I say? What did I already get wrong? Who do I tell? What are my kid’s rights at school? And underneath all of it: am I doing this right?
Nobody hands you a manual. So we made one, and then we made it something you can actually watch.

Mama Dragons has partnered with powerful advocacy organizations across the country to create a series of educational courses that teach parents of LGBTQ+ children and allies how to have courageous conversations in all the places where decisions are made that impact our LGBTQ+ families.
Regional REtreats
Mama Dragons hosts regional retreats across the United States that give parents the opportunity to gather in person, connect deeply, and build lasting community. These retreats offer time to relax, share experiences, and unite with other parents on the same journey - often featuring an inspiring keynote speaker alongside meaningful time to simply be together.
National Outreach & Partnerships
Mama Dragons works with organizations across the country to expand support for LGBTQ+ families. Through partnerships, events, and community outreach, we connect parents with trusted resources and bring affirming support to communities nationwide.

Sometimes the most meaningful support comes from small acts of care shared between families who understand the journey. Mama Dragons’ Give Back Programs create opportunities for parents and community members to offer comfort, encouragement, and connection to others who may need it most.

Through initiatives like Wrapped in Hugs, Paper Hugs, Hugs for Heroes, and Embracelets, our community sends tangible reminders of love, solidarity, and hope to parents and LGBTQ+ children and community members navigating difficult moments. These simple but powerful gestures help strengthen the bonds that make Mama Dragons such a supportive and compassionate community.​
